The rich collection of the Australian Racing Museum is displayed in the Champions Gallery at the National Sports Museum. The Champions Gallery celebrates the exciting world of thoroughbred racing and its role in Australian cultural and sporting heritage, from its beginnings in colonial society to today. It displays the greats of racing together with colourful characters of the track, while exploring aspects of a day at the races. A suite of multimedia experiences in the gallery includes some of the oldest racing footage from around the country. The Australian Racing Museum also provides a library and research service, by appointment.
