The Royal Historical Society of Victoria (RHSV) collection focuses on the history of Victoria. It concentrates on early European settlement until 1920. The collection comprises of manuscripts, photographs, works on paper, paintings, maps, pamphlets, ephemera, albums and a library focused on the history of Victoria. The library has an extensive local history in Victoria and rare volumes. The RHSV holds 4 exhibitions a year showcasing RHSV material, delivers a monthly lecture program on aspects of Victorian history and produces twice yearly the Victorian Historical Journal. Although a membership organisation its programs are open to all.
