ABOUT

Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne’s most iconic landmark, where Victorians have been coming since 1934 to honour the service and sacrifice of Australian men and women in war and peacekeeping. The Galleries provide extensive permanent and temporary exhibitions revealing the history of Australians at war and in peacekeeping, with a particular focus on Victorian service and sacrifice. Over 800 objects, photographs, uniforms and works of art illustrate the experiences of Australians at war and in peacekeeping operations, from the 1850s to the present day.
